Color Guard Auditions
Colorguard auditions are typically announced in early February via a "Save the Date" e-mail from Dr. Fisher and are held on campus in late April and early May.
All interested students should expect to prepare a 90-120 second routine that is performed to music of your choosing. This part of the audition is meant to showcase your strengths in colorguard performance. You are encouraged to incorporate any flag, dance, or additional colorguard equipment into your routine.
The final part of the audition is learning 2 short routines taught by the instructor and student leaders. All students in colorguard both new and returning members are required to audition each year. Audition results are announced after the final audition date.
Twirler Auditions
To be a twirler with The Sound of the Natural State Marching Band, students must audition in the spring semester. The audition includes two phases: Phase 1: a formal application including a resume, and links to videos of recent twirling routines; Phase 2: a video of an original routine and a performance to go along with our fight song routine. Contact Dr. Allegra Fisher via email for further information.
