The Sound of the
Natural State
The Sound of the Natural State Marching Band is made up of 200 students from over 50 majors across the university. Whether you are studying music, engineering, nursing, or other, you are welcome here!
The Marching Band performs at all home football games, occasional away games, and all bowl games. They also host the A-State Open, a marching festival for high schools. The SOUND rehearses Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3:00-5:00pm. Drumline and Color Guard also have an additional 1-hour sectional per week. Each wind section has occasional sectionals throughout the season organized by student leadership.
The SOUND & A-State bands program has an excellent scholarship program available to students of all degree programs. If you are interested in a scholarship, contact Dr. Allegra Fisher (afisher@astate.edu) or visit here.
